The Dream Cycle (Final Draft)

     Long corridors of blackened stone stretched out of sight and water dripped, though it was impossible to discern where. He licked his lips nervously, eyes darting down the halls in search of something not quite apparent. It seemed he had been marching down the corridors forever, throat dry and tongue swollen but there was never a drop of water to be found. It was there - he could hear the water dripping in the distance - but it seemed that no matter how long he trotted the twisting halls it lay forever out of reach. Still he searched to no avail, always afraid of what he would encounter around each somehow vague corner

Paper pieces.I could wear the colors of war  like an open collared  shirt;  [ exposed ]  the glint of a heart on a string,  dangling between pale breasts --   
where you used to rest your head,  where you came to remember  the rhythm of                        us.   
Drops of blood still seep from the  places where love did not heal  like little red pearls,  this is my solace.

I've just been cleaning up some of my deviations... deleting those which I no longer like, and such. I can't believe some of those things we're written by me! I guess I was a lot more emo and angst-ridden than I thought, when I was about 17 :P How embarrassing :D

Haha in any case, most of the ones that are left are ones that I still like... at least to some degree. I am my own worst critic. However, the one that I like have gone mostly unnoticed, and I suppose that could be my own fault for not really being very active on DA for the last year or two. I still check it from time to time, though. Anyways, this post may end up being here for a while...
